Creating Tasks

v0.4.0+: Dependencies are required for causality tracking.

# Create with dependencies (required)
taskguard create --title "Task title" --area backend --dependencies "setup-001"

# With priority and dependencies
taskguard create --title "Critical fix" --area backend --priority critical --dependencies "backend-001"

# Root/spike tasks (no dependencies)
taskguard create --title "Research spike" --area backend --allow-orphan-task

Causality Tracking

setup-001 is auto-created by taskguard init as the universal root task. All other tasks should specify dependencies to maintain semantic chains.

Auto-generated: - Unique ID (backend-001, frontend-001, etc.) - Timestamp - Default status (todo) - Task file in tasks/{area}/{id}.md
